We are recruiting a highly skilled and motivated postdoctoral researcher in statistical genetics to work on cerebral small vessel disease and its clinical endpoints such as stroke and dementia. The postholder will join the Statistical Genetics Unit at King’s College London, and collaborate closely with Dr Matthew Traylor and Professor Hugh Markus at the University of Cambridge. The role requires statistical and bioinformatics research of an international standard. Using extensive UK and international studies, the postholder will perform genetic association, post-GWAS analysis and polygenic epidemiology to uncover the genetic contribution to cerebral small vessel disease and clinical phenotypes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a postdoctoral researcher to join a thriving research collaboration and develop their research profile in a fast-moving, exciting field. Please note that this is a PhD level role but candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting award of their PhDs will be considered.
