Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia, is seeking to appoint two Postdoctoral
Research Fellows to work on research problems at the interface between several of the following areas:
- Extreme-value theory and statistics
- Spatio-temporal statistics
- Stochastic partial differential equation (SPDE) models for spatial statistics
- Fast inference methods (MALA, HMC, INLA, Variational Bayes, likelihood-free approaches, etc.)
- Graphical models
- Causal inference
- Probabilistic machine learning (neural networks, etc.)
- Applications in climate science, geoscience, finance, neuroscience
The two postdoc positions are designed to be a career-building step for junior scholars, with the development of a
