Professor in Biostatistics
Associate Professor in Biostatistics
Junior Associate Professor in Biostatistics
Three permanent positions are offered at the Department of Biostatistics, University of Oslo, Oslo, Norway.
You will have expertise in statistics, to be interpreted in the widest sense and to include applied, computational and methodological statistics, together with a strong interest in biology, medicine, epidemiology and/or public health. The successful professor candidate will have an exceptional research record, as judged by the strength of the scientific, peer-reviewed publications. She/he is an innovative and independent researcher and leader in her or his field. The ability to win research funding is important. Active collaborations, interdisciplinary and internationally, are expected. Applicants at the associate professor level will have started to achieve results in these directions and show exceptional promise to become leading academics. We have organised the three positions into two calls: one dedicated to the recruitment of two scholars, at Professor or Associate Professor level; the second call is dedicated to the recruitment of a more junior Associate Professor, with a preference for candidates with up to 7 years from PhD graduation (taking into considerations certain interruptions, see call for all details).
