We wish to appoint a permanent, University-funded Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Medical Statistics and Data Science to develop their research interests and expertise in trials and/or natural experiments and data science in relation to primary care as part of their wider research portfolio. The post is within the internationally leading Department of Population Health Sciences (PHS) in the University of Bristol Medical School (BRMS), which hosts one of the UK's largest groups of medical statisticians and data scientists.
The person appointed will contribute to the design, grant writing and implementation of new research projects, as well as to existing projects. They will also supervise more junior statisticians and contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes. They will be encouraged to collaborate on development of new methodology relevant to their research interests. We're proud of our open, friendly and supportive research environment.
The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. in a quantitative topic (or equivalent research experience) and a track record of applied and/or methodological research published in high impact journals.
