The Department of Mathematics, Brunel University London invites applications for a Lecturer and a Senior Lecturer position.
The postholders will contribute to the Department of Mathematics’ academic activities, including delivery of Brunel University London’s (BUL) BSc programme: “Mathematics for Data Science” at North China University of Technology (NCUT), Beijing, China, through a Transnational Education (TNE) partnership.
The role requires interaction and cooperation with academic colleagues, within BUL and in NCUT, in delivering teaching for the TNE programme. You will be required to travel to China multiple times per year, spending periods of up to one term in the Chinese academic year (approximately four months) continuously at NCUT, in order to participate in all aspects of teaching and examining of our programme there.
The successful candidate will also be expected to join one of the Department of Mathematics’ research groups (Applied and Numerical Analysis, Mathematical Physics and Applied Mathematics, Financial Mathematics and Operational Research, Statistics and Data Science), to contribute to our thriving research environment, and to assist with developing research links with our NCUT partners.
