The Department of Statistical Sciences of the University of Bologna provides 6 scholarships for the PhD in Statistics for the academic year 2020-21. The scholarship amount is 15.343 euro per year (gross income). The deadline for submitting the application is 21st May, 2020, 1.00 p.m. (Italian time).

The PhD programme in Statistics pursues the objective of training highly qualified statisticians able to apply the most modern statistical techniques to scientific research. The PhD is designed for candidates wishing to work at University level or in any organization with Research Units.
The Ph.D. Programme in Statistics develops in 3 years and training activities require:
• attending courses with a final assessment
• attending short courses, reading groups and internal seminars
• participating to the Statistics seminars
• preparing a Dissertation with original contributions in Statistics
