We have had in the last few years a scheme called “Chancellor’s Fellow” (link below), which has attached to it more research time than standard lectureships (and applies a 5-year tenure track), and we are just informed that now they are creating a new scheme called “Chancellor’s Associate” – essentially a 2-year research-only post with the expectation that the successful associate will move on to the fellow phase after.
