The position is meant to provide a young scientist in the years after obtaining a Ph.D. with support to broaden and deepen his or her research agenda.
Employment (40 hrs/week) is based on a 3-year contract.
The successful applicant will join the faculty and participate in the department's research, teaching, and administrative activities. In particular, the candidate is expected to participate in research projects leading to international publications and presentations.
Profile:
A Ph.D. in statistics, mathematics, or a closely related discipline (completed or pending completion);
a strong background in mathematical statistics and probability theory; interest in one of the following areas: high-dimension/small-sample-size problems, time series, heteroskedasticity, autocorrelation robust inference; and promising potential for original high-level research.
