We have an opening for a postdoctoral position for 1,5 years (starting between 1. April and 15. June, 100% TV-L E 13) at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. This position is funded by the “Gleichstellungfonds” to increase equal opportunities for women in research and teaching. Job description: Scientific research and teaching at the Chair of Statistics. Research topics in the working group include statistical methods for complex data such as functional data, densities, shapes and images; flexible regression models; longitudinal data analysis and joint models for longitudinal and time-to-event data; post selection inference. Task for the acquisition of third-party funding.
Requirements: Completed PhD in statistics, mathematics or a related field with statistical methodological focus; interest in the development of statistical methods and in interdisciplinary collaborations; good communication skills; very good knowledge of English; programming experience (preferably in the statistical software package R).
