The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, is searching for an Associated Senior Lecturer in Mathematical Statistics to the Division of Applied Mathematics and Statistics.
Research of a successful candidate should involve the development of *computer intensive methods for statistical inference*. It should strengthen and complement the research performed in mathematical statistics at the Division of Applied Mathematics and Statistics in areas such as biostatistics and bioinformatics, spatial statistics, forensic statistics, Bayesian statistics, extreme values, stochastic differential equations.
The duties also include teaching and possibly supervision up to a total of 25%. Outreach activities can also occur.
Key Limitation: Priority will be given to the applicants who obtained a PhD degree or achieved equivalent scientific competence at the very latest five years before the expiration date of this announcement.
