The Department of Management Science and Statistics in the College of Business at The University of Texas at San Antonio invites applications for one tenured position at the academic rank of Associate Professor in Statistics or one tenure-track position at the academic rank of Assistant Professor beginning in the fall semester of 2015. Responsibilities include teaching doctoral, master's, and undergraduate courses; conducting scholarly research; pursuing external funding; and performing university service. The department prefers applicants with an interest in one of the computationallyintensive cutting-edge areas of statistical research such as "big data" analytics, Bayesian methodology, data mining, spatial statistics, etc. The salary and supporting start-up package are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
