JOB: Two postdoc positions in statistical genetics and cancer genomics at MUSC

We are recruiting two postdoctoral researchers at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC. These positions will provide exciting research opportunities to develop novel statistical methods to solve cutting edge problems in statistical genetics and cancer genomics. The postdoctoral researchers will work with the established interdisciplinary research team consisting of statisticians, bioinformaticians, and biologists. These positions are full-time appointments with annual salary of $65K. Review of applications will begin immediately, until the positions are filled.

Qualifications:

- PhD in statistics, biostatistics, computer science, bioinformatics, or related field.

- Strong interest in statistical genetics, cancer genomics, or bioinformatics.

- The ideal candidate is expected to have extensive experience in developing and implementing Bayesian models to solve bioinformatics problems. Previous experience working with genetic or genomic datasets will be a plus but not required.
