The Institute for Mathematical Stochastics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Georg-August-University of Göttingen seeks qualified applicants for the position of a Post-Doctoral Researcher
(Salary pay grade 13 TV-L, 39.8 hours/week)
starting on or after September 01, 2017 for the duration of one year.
The position is assigned to the project “Dynamic poverty measurement” within a larger initiative “Reducing poverty risk in developing countries” at the University of Göttingen. This project deals with statistical estimation and inference of distributional patterns of growth, which are related to certain (dependent) quantile processes. We are looking for candidates with strong PhD in mathematical statistics and background in empirical processes, nonparametric and/or Bayesian methods, interested in interdisciplinary research.
The position includes no teaching.
