We are looking to appoint a Professor of Epidemiology/Biostatistics/Public Health to join our successful and highly committed team of academic staff in the Population Health Research Institute.
The post holder will be expected to make a distinctive contribution to the Institute’s internationally competitive research programme in population health which addresses research themes including:-
• patterns, trends, determinants and prevention of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes and eye disease;
• epidemiology of respiratory and allergic diseases, including environmental determinants;
• life course and ageing, with a particular focus on the aetiology and prevention of congenital abnormalities);
• primary care and health services research (including mental health).
The successful applicant will have a track record of independent research in a relevant aspect of population health supported by successful current research grant funding and of the publication of high-quality scientific outputs.
This full-time post is open to non-clinical applicants and to clinical applicants (part time or full time with separately funded clinical or research sessions).
