We welcome applications from students with BSc/MSc degrees in Statistics or Data Science, interested in analyzing economic and financial data. The methodological work is purely on applied statistics and prior knowledge of economics or finance is not necessary, while good programming skills and knowledge of (discrete) time series methods are essential.

In order to get the full award (fees and stipend) the ESRC has a strong UK residence requirement. Students without a full-time BSc degree in the UK are eligible for a fees-only scholarship. Details of the ESRC eligibility criteria can be found here: https://esrc.ukri.org/skills-and-careers/doctoral-training/prospective-students/
