We are glad to announce that we have launched a series of projects related to different areas of applied mathematics. We are looking a research technician and a postdoctoral fellow to collaborate in those projects.
Research technician in Machine Learning
Postdoctoral Fellow in Computational Mathematics
Working in supervised learning via robust risk minimization the preferred candidate will have demonstrated knowledge in Machine Learning techniques and Mathematics and good programming skills in Python or Matlab. Applicants also must have their Bachelor’s or Master degree preferable in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related fields and demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative research team.
The researcher will work on an applied research project, that deals with manufacturing of complex curved objects. Possible research topics include, but are not limited to: path planning algorithms for 5-axis computer numerically controlled (CNC) machining and contact-based inspection, free-form surface rationalization, and tool-shape design and optimization. Previous experience in geometric modeling projects is particularly welcome.
