The University of Arkansas - Fayetteville, Department of Mathematical Sciences invites applications for a faculty position in Statistics, to begin in August, 2014. The position will be a tenure-track Assistant Professor, or an Associate Professor with tenure, contingent upon the qualifications and experience of the applicant.
The UA is developing an interdisciplinary graduate program in Statistics and Analytics, involving the College of Engineering, the Sam M. Walton College of Business, the Dale Bumpers College of Agriculture, Food, and Life Sciences, the College of Education and Health Professions, together with the Department of Mathematical Sciences in the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences. The development plan also includes an interdisciplinary center with a statistical consulting center serving internal and external clients, as well as additional hires.
The Department of Mathematical Sciences is seeking candidates with a strong research and teaching potential, and an interest in becoming part of this exciting initiative.
Include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, research statement, teaching statement, sample of up to three representative publications, transcripts and four letters of recommendations, at least one of which should address the teaching skills of the candidate.
