Assistant Professor (Tenure-track) in Statistics

The Department of Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Statistics at Case Western Reserve University is searching for a tenure-track assistant professor in Statistics to begin in AY 2014/2015. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in spatial statistics, statistical learning, computational statistics and Bayesian statistics. The ability to meaningfully interact with the existing group of statisticians/probabilists/applied mathematicians in the department will be vital. This hire is part of an effort to build a statistics group which also interfaces well with faculty in other departments, for example biology, physics, astronomy, biostatistics, and with the schools of engineering and management.

All candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Statistics, or a related field by the time of the appointment, have a demonstrated teaching/mentoring experience, and a publication record appropriate to rank. The normal teaching load is two courses per semester.
