The Department of Health Care Policy at Harvard Medical School has an opening for a non-tenure-track faculty appointment. This Associate will work with Department statistical faculty on applied research projects. Specific responsibilities include conducting basic and advanced statistical analyses; learning and applying novel statistical methods; performing literature reviews; managing and preparing data for analysis (including large-scale administrative data such as claims); and collaborating with faculty on manuscripts, abstracts, and other publications to document study findings.
Requirements include a PhD in a quantitative discipline, such as statistics, biostatistics, quantitative social sciences, biology, or a related field; strong skills in data management and analysis, including experience with large data sets; advanced programming skills (knowledge of R required); and excellent communication skills. Additional qualifications include experience in health policy or public health, causal inference methods, survival analysis, and multi-level modeling.
