Newcastle University is seeking to make five new appointments Statistics, all based in the School of Mathematics & Statistics. There is a chair, two lectureships and two research associate positions. Candidates for the chair or lectureships who have appropriate research records can expect reduced teaching loads for at least the first three years after appointment.
At Newcastle we have a long tradition of research in statistics, with strength in data science, bioinformatics and biostatistics. We are heavily involved in the University development of Science Central, a £200 million project bringing together academia, the public sector, business and industry on a new site in the heart of the city.
