Oral presentations: oral presentations may be placed in an invited+contributed session or in a single contributed session. Please, check the different timing:
- For invited + contributed sessions: 25 minutes for presentation, 10 minutes for discussion.
- For contributed session: 30 minutes for presentation, 10 minutes for discussion.
Presentation files should be in .pdf format.
Posters: posters will be placed next to the conference room at the beginning of the conference, and they will remain exhibited until de last day. On Thursday 1st there will be a special session for poster discussion, just (during) after the afternoon coffee-break. Posters must be presented in A0 (841x1189 mm or 33’1x46’8 in).
Best poster award:
There will be an award to the best poster presented at METMAV.

Participants are encouraged to submit one contributed paper for presentation at METMAV. Authors should send an extended abstract (up to 4 pages) in .pdf format, using the following LaTeX template:

with message subject “METMAV abstract submission” before 15th of April 2010
inclusive. Extended abstracts will be published in a book of abstracts.
The Scientific Committee will choose up to 12 contributed papers
because of their special scientific quality, and these selected contributions will be presented in plenary oral sessions. Formal acceptation of the abstracts for presentation will be communicated on 15th May, at the latest. Posters will remain available for participants along the three days of the meeting.

As in previous conferences, papers can be submitted to be published in a Special Issue of the journal Environmetrics, following the usual process of evaluation by referees. Another Special Issue of Journal of Environmental Statistics will be devoted to the conference contributions. Guidelines and deadlines for submissions will be announced in due course.
