Dear all,

We are searching for an outstanding candidate with a strong interest in statistics/ machine learning and cancer research for a PhD student position in Biostatistics at the Department of Biostatistics and Oslo Center for Biostatistics and Epidemiology (OCBE) at the University of Oslo, Norway (http://www.med.uio.no/imb/english/research/centres/ocbe).

The successful PhD candidate will develop and explore statistical and machine learning methods for the prediction of drug responses and molecular treatment targets based on large-scale DNA sequencing data and other molecular data sources. The candidate will join the research efforts within the BigInsight (www.biginsight.no) project “Personalized cancer therapies” and as such will be part of a growing group of researchers in Oslo working on the development of methods for personalized therapies in cancer.
