JOB - Lecturer in Statistics, University College London

The Department of Statistical Science at UCL invites applications for a Lecturer in Statistics. The post holder will be expected to conduct original research and contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Statistical Science. Research may be in any branch(es) of Statistical Science, although applicants with expertise in statistical signal processing or related fields will be especially welcome.

Candidates should hold or be close to submitting a PhD (or equivalent qualification) in Statistics, or a closely related field. It is essential that the successful candidate has a proven record of ability to carry out high quality research (including evidence of success in publishing in suitable journals), the ability to construct and deliver lecture courses on topics relevant to the needs of the Department and possesses excellent written and oral communication skills.

The post is open-ended and is available from January 2017. Salary is Grade 7: 37,936-41,163 GBP per annum or Grade 8: 42,304-49,904 GBP per annum. Appointments at either grade currently qualify for an additional market supplement of 7,000 GBP per annum (to be reviewed every 2 years).
