The Department of Statistics seeks to employ an Associate Professor (or Professor) of Statistics. This is an exciting time for the Department. In 2015, it will move to a new home in a prominent building in the centre of Oxford. This move will further enhance the Department's vibrant research environment. The Department has also recently secured funding for a new Oxford-Warwick EPSRC/MRC doctoral training centre in Statistical Science which has enabled this post to be created.

You will work at the Department of Statistics and be offered a Tutorial Fellowship at Keble College. An additional housing allowance of £8,708 per annum is available if you choose not to reside in College. You will have research interests in modern statistical science (Computational Statistics, Statistical Machine Learning, Statistical Methodology and Theoretical and Mathematical Statistics) that build upon those of current members of the department. You have a PhD or equivalent degree in Statistics or a related discipline, and an outstanding research record, as well as the potential to attract research funding. You will have the skills and enthusiasm to lecture at undergraduate and advanced graduate level, over a wide range of topics within the field of modern statistical science, provide supervision of students and undertake tutorial teaching.
