Postdoctoral position in statistical analysis of network data

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics, at Boston University, working with Professor Eric Kolaczyk. This is a two-year position. The focus of our research group is on fundamental statistical problems associated with network analysis, as well as various relevant applications. As such, there are a variety of projects in progress and anticipated under this award. Common to most of them is the goal of propagating uncertainty in basic underlying measurements through to higher-level network characteristics (e.g., network summary statistics, community detection, etc.). Anticipated work entails of mix of methods and theory development, in conjunction with applications in various topics in bioinformatics, neuroscience, and online social networks.

The ideal candidate would have a PhD in statistics, computer science, or mathematics, or a closely related field. Background in networks is desirable but not necessary. To apply, please send a CV, statement of research interests, and the contact information for two references to Esta dirección de correo electrónico está siendo protegida contra los robots de spam.
