JOB: Professorship of Applied Statistics, University of Oxford

The University of Oxford intends to appoint to a Professorship of Applied Statistics. The Professorship of Applied Statistics is at the heart of the University of Oxford’s continuing tradition of excellence in the subject.
The successful candidate will be a world-leading academic who will provide outstanding research leadership in statistical methods, bringing with them a vision for the discipline within the University of Oxford and internationally. As a senior member of the Department of Statistics, the Professor of Applied Statistics will have the opportunity to help shape and develop its research and overall strategy.
A particular focus for leadership in this role will be to oversee the Department’s flagship Masters programme.
The post holder will, in addition to the Departmental appointment, be elected to a Professorial Fellowship at St Peter’s College, where they will sit on the College’s Governing Body.
