JOB - Lecturer in Statistical Data Science, University College London

UCL invites applications for a Lecturer in Statistical Data Science. The post-holder will be expected to conduct original research in statistical data science, and to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in statistical science.
Candidates should hold or be close to submitting a PhD (or equivalent qualification) in statistics, or a closely related field. It is essential that the successful candidate has research interests that resonate with those in the Centre for Data Science, a proven record of ability to carry out high quality research in statistical data science (including evidence of success in publishing in suitable journals), the ability to construct and deliver lecture courses on topics relevant to the needs of the Department and excellent communication skills.

The post is open-ended and is available from April 2018. Salary is Grade 7: 38,581-41,864 GBP per annum or Grade 8: 43,023-50,753 GBP per annum. Appointments at either grade currently qualify for an additional market supplement of 7,000 GBP per annum (to be reviewed every 2 years). For an appointment to be made at the higher salary grade (Grade 8), please refer to the specific criteria given within the person specification. UCL operates a Relocation Scheme for newly appointed academic staff who relocate their home to take up their appointment. This includes a relocation supplement of 9,000 GBP. The department and the institute will also provide a start-up fund of 6,000 GBP, available for the duration of the probation period.
