Postdoc position in AI/Biomedical informatics

Postdoctoral position available in artificial intelligence/biomedical informatics

A postdoctoral research position is available in Samantha Kleinberg’s group in the Computer Science department at Stevens Institute of Technology. Our broad focus is analysis of time series data, with an emphasis on causal inference in complex, large-scale, observational data. For researchers interested in working with challenging real-world data, our collaborations with clinicians at Columbia University and other institutions allow for unique access to patient data along with the opportunity to have a tangible impact on patient care.

More information about Dr. Kleinberg is available at: http://www.cs.stevens.edu/~skleinbe

The ideal candidate will have experience in a subset of the following areas:

  • Analysis of large-scale data
  • Causal inference
  • Time-series analysis
  • Biomedical inference

Requirements:

  • PhD in computer science or a related field (e.g. statistics, bioinformatics, physics)
  • Strong publication record
  • Excellent communication skills

The position is available immediately and is open until filled (though fall start dates are also possible). Initial appointment will be for one year, with the potential of renewal for 1-2 additional years.

Stevens Institute of Technology is a private university located in Hoboken, New Jersey.
