JOB: Postdoctoral Researchers in Statistical Genetics

Applications are invited for Postdoctoral Researchers to join Matthew Stephens's research group within the departments of Human Genetics and Statistics at the University of Chicago. Research in the Stephens lab focuses on the development and application of statistical tools for the analysis of genetics and genomics data. Ongoing research topics include genetic association studies and analysis of data from next-generation sequencing technologies. See http://stephenslab.uchicago.edu for more details of recent projects and publications.

The Stephens lab provides an exceptional research environment, sharing computational space with the lab of Professor John November. Members of the different labs have a range of computational, statistical and biological backgrounds, and interact on a daily basis. There are also strong ties with several experimental groups at the University of Chicago, including Professors Yoav Gilad and Anna Di Rienzo.

Applicants should have, or be studying for, a PhD in statistics, computer science, quantitative biology, or related quantitative discipline. A strong computational background is also required. Applicants should send a CV, Research Statement, and names of 3 referees to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
