LECTURER IN STATISTICS (Ref: STM0927) at Kent

The University of Kent is currently advertising a permanent, full-time position at lecturer level. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to both teaching and research within the Statistics Group. We welcome applicants with a background in any area of statistics (such as statistical machine learning).

The School of Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Science provides a stimulating research environment in statistics, complemented by seminar series, international conferences and workshops. The School values diversity and inclusivity, and was the first school at the University of Kent to obtain an Athena Swan Silver award.

The successful candidate will join one of the UK's major statistics groups, which currently includes

17 academics, 2 research assistants/fellows and 4 emeritus and honorary staff.

The successful candidate will contribute to our vibrant research environment and will also be expected to contribute to teaching at all levels, and to the life of the School in general.
