JOB: Research Assistant, University of Liverpool

We are seeking an individual to work on a NIHR HTA funded project at the Department of Biostatistics, University of Liverpool.

Research Assistant Grade 6

£29,515 pa

You will support the work of a Health Technology Assessment Grant entitled improving prediction of psychosis in people with at risk mental state (ARMS) using a clinically useful prediction tool: IPPACT. The grant is held between the University of Liverpool and the University of Manchester. The post is based at the Department of Biostatistics, University of Liverpool.

The aim of the project is to determine if a refined prognostic tool can improve the prediction of psychosis in individuals with an At Risk Mental State (ARMS), over and above the existing ARMS criteria. We also aim to investigate if use of this tool can lead to more cost-effective management of ARMS individuals in the NHS.

The successful applicant will be involved in an evidence synthesis of individual participant data and the development and external validation of a prognostic model. You should have a first degree with a substantial statistics component and a Masters in Statistics or equivalent is desirable. The post is available until 31 December 2022.
