Research Group Leader at German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE)

The German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) is a center of excellence within the Helmholtz Association that performs translational research on Neurodegenerative Diseases. The center includes nine high-performing sites in Bonn, Berlin, Dresden, Goettingen, Magdeburg, Munich, Rostock/Greifswald, Tuebingen and Witten.
Within the area of research methods at DZNE site Witten we offer the position as
Research Group Leader (f/m) - Code 7003/2013/5
Tasks:
Providing leadership to a research group that focuses on the provision, consultation, adaption, and development of analyses and research methods in the field of dementia specific health services research at the DZNE site Witten.
This includes:
The further development of a methodological based research profile especially the continuous development of specific integrative (combined quantitative and qualitative ) research and analyses methods for dementia specific health services research
Providing consultation with regard to methodological aspects of research projects at the DZNE site Witten Organization of the research group. As a member of the executive committee, participating in the further development of the DZNE site Witten
Applicants' profile
Scientific Qualification:
Excellent scientific expertise as shown with the completion of a PhD preferably in an interdisciplinary context (e.g. social sciences, psychology, nursing science, medicine)
Outstanding knowledge in statistics (amongst others, multilevel analyses, data mining, psychometric analyses, test theory)
Proven methodological expertise in the context of empirical social science including a critical appraisal of the application of methods (methodology)
Experience in conducting and managing scientific projects in health services or in social science
Excellent English writing and speaking skills
Soft Skills:
Innovative and creative thinking person who - as a group leader - is able to devise goals and to describe possible ways how to achieve these goals
Cooperative and communicative style to lead
