This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in epidemiology and statistics to join the COSMOS study (http://www.ukcosmos.org), a major international research programme investigating mobile phone use and health across 5 European countries. The UK arm of the study is based at the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics within the School of Public Health at Imperial College London. The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics has attracted an excellent multi-disciplinary team interfacing across epidemiology, database programming, geographical information systems, and statistical methodology.
The emphasis of this role is on working with the research team to deliver a high quality unified COSMOS dataset for future epidemiological analysis, and a comprehensive evaluation and description of the data collected to date to inform the design of follow-up questionnaires and future data collection.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in epidemiology and statistics and will join a leading group at the cutting edge of developments in mobile phone use and health research. This environment provides strong opportunities for continuing professional development. Applicants should hold an MSc or equivalent in Epidemiology, Public Health, Statistics or related field.
This full-time post is based at the St Mary's Campus, Paddington in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and will be fixed term from the date of appointment for 12 months in the first instance.
