TENURE-TRACK FELLOWSHIP (LEADING TO LECTURESHIP)
£37,382 - £47,314 pa
You will join a group of statisticians in the Department of Epidemiology and Population Health, led by Professor Peter Diggle. The group is currently based on the University of Liverpool's Leahurst campus but is likely to move to new accommodation on the Liverpool city-centre campus in summer 2014. The group's main focus is on statistical methodology motivated by and applied to substantive research in human and veterinary epidemiology and population health, but you will also have opportunities to contribute to research programmes in other parts of the university's Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.
You should have a higher degree in statistics, a commitment to the application of statistics in the veterinary, biomedical and public health sciences and a track-record of publications in methodological and applied statistics. Experience of PhD supervision and successful research grant applications, either as PI or Co-I, would be desirable.
The Tenure-Track Scheme runs for five years. At the end of year three, you will be reviewed for confirmation in a permanent academic position.
