Postdoctoral Position in Statistics – July 2014


The Department of Mathematics at Tulane University invites applications for a postdoctoral position in statistics beginning July 2014. This position provides a competitive salary for 2 years. We seek talented and motivated candidates with strong commitment to research. The ideal candidate will have experience in spatial statistics and/or functional data analysis, but strong candidates with background in other areas of statistics will be considered. The candidate is expected to work closely with Dr. Oleksandr Gromenko. This position requires teaching of one undergraduate course per academic year.

The candidate should possess a doctoral degree in statistics, computer science or related fields before the date of appointment. Strong written and communication skills as well as solid scholarly background are required. Interested candidates should apply though mathjobs.org.
