Several postdoctoral positions in the areas of scalable Bayesian computation and/or environmental

Harvard University seeks several outstanding candidates for postdoctoral positions in the Statistics Department, under the supervision of Professor Luke Bornn. Candidates should have relevant interests in one or both of the following broadly-defined topics:

(A) Developing methods for scalable Bayesian computation in complex, high-dimensional models.
*Ideal candidates should have a strong track record of research in the areas of MCMC, SMC, ABC, and/or variational methods.

(B) Developing statistical methodology for large-scale climate and environmental systems.
*Ideal candidates should have a strong track record of research in the areas of spatial/spatiotemporal statistics, uncertainty quantification and/or computer models.

Incoming postdoctoral fellows will not be tied to a particular project, and will have flexibility to explore methods, application, and theory across these topic areas.

Salary and travel benefits are competitive, and the position(s) will remain open until filled. To apply, send curriculum vitae, contact information (phone/email) for 3 references, a research statement, and 1-3 publications/pre-prints to Prof. Luke Bornn (bornn atstat.harvard.edu) at Department of Statistics, Harvard University, 1 Oxford Street, Cambridge, MA 02138, USA.
