Mathematician - algorithms, optimisation and machine learning. Vigo, Spain. €32k - €38k
The role:
• Collaborating in a multidisciplinary R&D project, full time role (minimum 1 year involvement, option to extend indefinitely)
• Starting Spring 2021
• Working under the company's Technical Director
• Supporting and coordinating efforts across Engineering and Software Development teams
• Providing high level input on structure of analysis methods
• Helping develop new optimised calculation algorithms
• Exploring new ways of topology optimisation suitable/tailored to GPU multi-threading calculation, Machine Learning and AI
• Helping develop the overall open data structure including a new file type.
• Preparing scientific papers along the way and according to the research level of development.
The candidate:
• Suitable academic qualifications e.g. PhD in Mathematics - Optimisation
• English native + Spanish professional proficiency (or the other way round)
• 3+ years' experience in algorithms/topology optimisation research
• Proficiency on Maths software tools
• Programming experience
• Organised but hands-on, resourceful and with a flexible mindset
• Commitment to Sustainability and tackling Climate Change
• Other highly valued features:
